Transform Your Floors With Our Industrial-Grade Epoxy Floor Coatings

Garage flooring is prone to cracking, chipping, and other damage. Maybe you tried a DIY garage floor coating to cover the imperfections and protect the floor for further cracking. Floor coatings usually look great right after application, but how will they hold up after a full cycle of the seasons in West Michigan? How will they look after a few years?

Epoxy flooring has to be extremely durable. It has to stand up to tires that bring in road salt, dirt, pebbles, blacktop residue, snow, ice, and sand. Then, of course, there are the vehicle fluids that tend to leak on the floor creating stains that never wash out of raw concrete or any covering that does not form a complete seal over the porous surface.

When you factor in other items that you store in your garage, from bikes to campers to ladders to garden tools to motorcycles to cleaning materials, it’s no surprise that it is so challenging to keep your garage floor in pristine condition.

It is true that concrete, in its uncoated form, is extremely porous, so it absorbs fluids and eventually loses its structural integrity. That is why you get those cracks and stains and chips on an uncoated floor.

Is a worn-down garage floor inevitable? It might seem like it, but our commercial grade floor coating can protect your garage and give it a new look even if it has already experienced the usual wear and tear that comes from everyday use in a city like West Michigan.

We can level your floor and coat it with an epoxy layer that will give complete protection from the elements and from oil, gas, mud, and even overheated tires during the summertime. The coating process takes only one or two days, but our warranties last between 9 and 21 years.

Your floor will be so easy to clean and pristine that you may even want to use it for more than car and tool storage. You might decide to convert it into a workshop, office, exercise room, or even an additional entertainment space.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I choose epoxy flooring? Epoxy flooring is ideal for high traffic areas and spaces that demand durability. Epoxy coating makes the floor easy to maintain. You can clean it effortlessly, and it is not porous, so you don’t have to worry about stains, even from substances like oil. Epoxy is long lasting, and it looks great too. You’ll want to show your garage to guests and may even use it for more than just storage.

What is the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic floor coating? Epoxy flooring is popular for commercial flooring because it is durable when correctly applied. Polyaspartic floor coatings have advantages such as superior UV protection (so it does not change color with sun exposure), rapid curing, and durability. The main drawback of a polyaspartic coat is that it is difficult to install.

What is the lifespan of an epoxy floor? Our warranties guarantee adhesion of your garage for between 9 and 21 years (depending on the type of product you choose).

Garage epoxy looks slippery. Is it? No, it is not. The shiny appearance certainly makes it look slick, but our coatings have anti-slip properties.

Is a floor coating from Garage Kings a good investment? Yes, we believe it is a fabulous investment. Epoxy floors will last for a long time, but only with correct installation. DIY coating kits may be cheaper, but they do not come with same long-term warranty that Garage Kings offers. Our floors can save you from having to make expensive repairs in the future.

What type of flooring is best for a garage? If you are looking for the ultimate in durability, our Signature Polyaspartic Flake Floors are best for garages. Why? These coatings are easy to clean, they are UV stable, and the floor will be level. DIY “one-day” kits cannot offer these same positive attributes.

How do you clean a floor from Garage Kings? You clean an epoxy floor coating just like you would clean any other surface in your house: with a mop. You can even use a towel for smaller spills.

Can you fix a floor that already has cracks and pits in it? Before we add the coating, we use a two-part repair compound to fill any cracks and holes. The result is stronger than the concrete itself, so the cracks will not reappear.
